Themes: God gives the victory and defeats our enemies; we must fight the battle in our humanity; God is specific, gives rest after the battle and keeps His promises and judgements.
Verses 1-11: God sent Israel to battle and defeat Og King of Bishon. Israel took possession of all of Og’s cities in accordance with God’s will.
Verses 12-20: The Land east of the Jordan River, the land of Og and Kishon is distributed with specific boundaries.
Verses 21-22: God commits to giving Israel over all the nations inhabiting the Promised Land.
Verses 23-29: Moses seeks to go into the Promised Land but God does not relent and says no because of Moses’ sin.
