Wesley’s sermon identifies two type of people:
#1 people who are almost a Christian
#2 people who are altogether a Christian
The ‘Almost’ Christian is identified as Wesley says, “Heathen Honesty”. The man is honest, upright, above reproach in his life and dealings with people; second he has a form of Godliness expresses by his outward works and lastly he is sincere in his desire to please God.
The ‘Altogether’ Christian is contrasted because of his love for God and his neighbor and lastly he is born of God.
