Leviticus 1 is the official establishment of the Lord’s holy ordinances which includes laws of offerings and laws of behavior.
Two key items: first, the Lord establishes the laws and Israel responds to His laws. Second, the Lord speaks to Israel through His holy ordinances.
In this way the Lord is pleased and Israel can remain in communion with the Lord which is His desire.
Remember, the Lord has always had two plans for His creation: first, to remain in communication with them and second, to tell them what to do. Hence the Lord told Adam to name to animals and then He told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply.
This pattern continues throughout the Scripture and is seen in the official establishment of His holy ordinances in Leviticus 1.
