The Bible teaches seed bearing fruit

In first two chapters of Genesis creation is described as consisting of seeds and animals that are produced after their kind.  In other words a particular type of seed brings forth a certain type of fruit.  Clearly there is no confusion in what the seed will produce.

An interesting note about the Bible is that is states directly what is means and what it states is exclusive language meaning that if it says that life begins with a seed then life does not begin in any other way.

Thus God has created life based on seeds and the fruit they bring forth. Now when Adam and Eve were in the garden and they were tempted to eat of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil what happened was that they ingested the seed of the tree.  Of course fruits have seeds in them and when they ate of the tree they ate of the fruit and the seed.

The seed immediately brought forth fruit within Adam and Eve personally and they knew they sinned.  The act of eating was not what made them sinners it was the fruit of what they ate.

Once they ate the fruit and seed they were corrupted forever.  Paul writes about the “corruption that has come into the world through lust” which is what Adam and Eve brought about.  Since their nature was now corrupted any seed or child they produced would likewise be born corrupted or born sinners.

In salvation man does not become reconciled to God by moral living but by receiving the seed of the tree of everlasting life (the Word of God)  that was also in the garden. When they receive the seed into their soul it begins to forth new fruit from within man.

That’s why Paul talks about in Galatians 5:22-24:  “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law” vs. the fruit of the flesh (Gal 5:19-21): “Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Paul does not speak of man becoming a moral being but only of bearing fruit of the seed that lies within him.  The question to every man is what is the seed within your soul?  Your life speaks loudly as to the nature of that seed whether it is from the tree of life, the Word of God, or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
