Psalm Summary:
Psalm 107: Praise the Lord for His everlasting mercy. Those whom He has redeemed praise Him. On four different points in the Psalm the people are in trouble and cry out to the Lord and He saves them. This is the demonstration of the Lord’s mercy. When we cry out He will save us of course with the expectation that we will keep His word. Not keeping His word is what leads to our trouble. Read the Psalm to see the imagery used to describe what the Lord does as He redeems His people.

Acts 22:23-23:11: Paul is brought away from the crowd and as he is about to be flogged he asks the nearby Centurion, “Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman and uncondemned?” (vs 25) This leads to his release from the flogging and his appearance before the the assembly of the Chief Priests and Sanhedrin. Paul testifies that he is a Pharisee and that he in on trial for his hope in the resurrection of the dead. This set off a huge argument between the Pharisees and the Sanhedrin, who do not believe in the resurrection nor an angel nor a spirit.
God told Paul he would be His witness no only here in Jerusalem but in Rome also.
