Psalm Summary
Psalm 108: Praise the Lord for His mercy and truth. Give us victory over our enemies. Through God we will be valiant and He will trample down our enemies.
Psalm 109: O God whom I praise do not be silent. Defend me from my accusers. Put someone over my enemy and bring these judgements against him (vs 7-20 give specifics). Deal kindly and mercifully with me Lord. I will praise you o Lord because you defend me from those who falsely accuse my soul.
Scripture Summary
Proverbs 11:15-31: These verses again describe the difference between the righteous and the wicked, the generous and the stingy, the good and the foolish. There is tremendous clarity here. Read the text for specifics.
Matthew 11: Jesus follows His disciples and preaches in their cities. During this time John the Baptist, as he always did, pointed his disciples to Christ to ask Him if is the One to come. Jesus affirms He is the One by listing His works.. Then Jesus explains John is the Isaiah that was to precede His coming, that of all men born of a woman John is the greatest and that John is the last prophet of the Law of Moses (meaning the end of the Covenant of the Law of Moses was at hand).
Jesus rebukes the generation of unbelievers says that did not respond to either John or Him. They were unpleasable. Then He rebuked all the cities where His great works were done because the did not repent and believe and foretold the coming judgement. He concludes by explaining how people come to know God and then calls all men, who meet a definite description, to come to Him. Read the text for specifics.
