Psalms: 90-92: Summary

Psalm 90: God is above all, God has showed man his sin and man blows away lik the grass. The Psalmist beseeches God to turn again and receive him. That God would show His mercy and His ways again, teach him and his children His work and prosper his pursuit of God.

Psalm 91: If you live in the light of God’s word, or keep His word, He shall protect you against all enemies. The Lord shall give His angels charge over you and He has set His love upon you. If you call upon Him He will hear you and be with you in your trouble. He will satisfy you with long life and salvation.

Psalm 92: The Lord is worthy to be praised. An unwise or wicked man does not praise the Lord and they perish. At the height of their prosperity they perish. But the righteous flourish that they may show the strength of the Lord and that there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Scripture readings: Summary

Proverbs 3:27 – 4:19: Love your neighbor. The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked but He bless the house of the righteous. Get wisdom. Seek Gods word and keep it. Your way will prosper. But the wicked is dark and sleepless.

Acts 20:17 – 38: Paul is speaking to the Elders of Ephesus on his way to Jerusalem. He tells them this is his last visit and that the Spirit tells him that persecutions and imprisonment await him. In his parting words he tells them to watch over the flock, protect them from wolves and to continue to provide care for the weak.
